Whiskey Snaps

10 snaps




2 oz butter

1 oz brown sugar

1 oz sugar

2 oz light corn syrup

2 oz flour

2 oz whiskey


  1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter, sugar and syrup. Takes 10-15 min, should be smooth, not able to feel the grain of the sugar.

  2. Add the whiskey at about 12 min it will help dissolve the sugar. This is the most important part. 

  3. Remove from heat and let cool for 2-3 min

  4. Add flour (must be sifted in, if not it'll clump)

  5. Mix thoroughly with a spatula, drop portions of 1 tbs at a time onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. (If you are going to form these afterwards, I suggest cutting individual 6x6 squares of parchment paper)

  6. Bake at 350 for 7 min

  7. Allow to cool - if forming, immediately remove and form.
