Empanada Dough

20 minutes of kneeding and resting


Dough for 20-30 empanadas


Seriously easy


2 & 1/2 cups flour

1 tsp salt

1/4 cup butter

3/4 cup water

2 egg yolks


  1. Melt butter, add water, and egg yolks, whisk until combined

  2. Add to flour and mix with fingers until dough forms - humidity will affect the moisture, you can add flour if needed.

  3. Kneed dough 10-15 times and let rest 10 minutes

  4. Kneed dough another 10-15 times - dough is ready to form
